Shaniqua Davis Named a 2018 Power 15 Award Honoree by Walker’s Legacy

Walker’s Legacy, the largest digital platform for multicultural women in business and entrepreneurship, will honor fifteen  women leaders of  Chicago as a part of national awards programming

CHICAGO, IL – NOVEMBER 06, 2018 – Shaniqua Davis announced their selection as a 2018 Power 15 Award honoree presented by Walker’s Legacy, a global platform for the professional and entrepreneurial multicultural woman. The Walker’s Legacy Chicago Power 15 Awards program is presented in partnership with AARP and the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA)  to recognize the achievements of notable businesswomen and community leaders.

Shaniqua (Shawn) Davis is the Founder and CEO of Noirefy. In 2016 Davis launched the digital platform to connect minority candidates and companies. She is currently based in Chicago, IL and has been featured in several national media outlets, including Forbes and Marie Claire magazine for her work with Noirefy. Davis has also been awarded and recognized as the 2017 Midwest Women in Technology, Talent Development award recipient and WeWorks Young Innovators 2017 and most recently listed on Crain’s Tech 50 2018 list.

In addition to Chicago, IL, the organization will honor a total of 150 women in New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Charlotte, Philadelphia, Miami, Dallas, Houston and Washington, DC. Recipients of the Power 15 Award are women who have thrived in an array of industries including social entrepreneurship, business, technology, media, and real estate among others.

The private awards dinner program will be held in Chicago, IL on November 27, 2018.

Past national Walker’s Legacy Power Award recipients include Keisha Lance Bottoms, Mayor of the City of Atlanta, GA; Latanya Mapp Frett, Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Global; Tiffany Smith-Anoa’i, Executive Vice President of Entertainment Diversity, Inclusion, and Communications at CBS Entertainment; and Miko Branch, co-founder of Miss Jessie’s, among other notable honorees.
