Overview

As the Junior Visual Designer at Brad’s Deals, you will be responsible for producing on-brand designs for the website, app, marketing collateral, and new products.  While working under the direction of the senior visual designer, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with several teams while maintaining cohesive branding. (Note: this is a full-time onsite position in Chicago)

Skills and qualifications

  • Strong portfolio showcasing 5+ recent projects
    BFA in Graphic Design, Visual Design, or related field
    2-3 years of corporate or agency experience
  • Proficiency with inDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects
  • Strong typography and layout skills
  • Possess knowledge of web design and front-end development practices
    Social media knowledge: Facebook, Twitter, IG, Pinterest
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Must be able to communicate concepts and ideas with team members and stakeholders
    Highly resourceful, and work under pressure with tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Develop visual concepts and solutions based off of prototypes and wireframes
  • Align product and marketing design with business goals and project direction (i.e. high level understanding of research and concept prior to designing assets)
  • Help in roll-out of new branded concepts
  • With the user experience top-of-mind, provide responsive web designs, direction and specs to development
  • Create assets to support seasonal marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with acquisition marketing team to develop visual testing plan, and create paid social media graphics
  • Work with stakeholders to refine designs based on performance and key insights
  • Edit existing and create new email marketing assets that adhere to industry best practices
  • Effectively communicate concepts, roadblocks, and rationale behind each design
  • Curate stock photography
  • Edit and refine sales deck material
  • Conduct detailed QA of work prior to production
  • Carefully curate stock photography and creative illustrations that are in line with Brad’s Deals branding.
