JOB SNAPSHOT

The Client Services Director / Senior Account Director is the link between current clients and the entire agency team. Working alongside Strategy, Creative and Production leads, your focus is entirely on client relationships; maintaining, developing, and strengthening existing relationships along with taking a proactive approach to building new ones.

In your role, you are the ringmaster of the circus; juggling all of the moving parts, collaboratively balancing the tightrope of our client’s goals and expectations with the reality of what’s required to make it happen. Our clients have a front-row seat to the magic, so how it looks to them, how they feel in the process, and whether they want to stick around for an encore – the entire experience – is where you get to flex. In more standard terms, you’d say that client satisfaction and measurable retention are what drives your success.

Some of your superpowers are:

  • Your ability to multi-task across multiple projects, clients, and teams
  • Razor-sharp attention to detail, picking up things that others might miss
  • A high EQ that helps you gauge the health of client relationships and the subtle shifts in sentiment, confidence, and buy-in

Qualities that shine through when working with you include:

  • Being direct while always showing warmth and understanding
  • Really listening and absorbing information that’s shared, directly and indirectly
  • Your innovative spirit and willingness to try new approaches;
  • You are genuinely curious about learning and are committed to growth
  • You are passionate about culture and have fostered your own interests and knowledge in key areas of the cultural landscape

To ensure that deadlines are met, and seamless, stress-free delivery of outcomes is achieved, you will need to be highly effective at collaborating and clearly communicating with internal and external resources. This part of the job requires a bit of hustle; resourcefulness so that obstacles don’t turn into delays, creative problem solving when challenges arise, and the ability to instill confidence and calm into the experience for clients along the way.

REPORTING

You will be a valued and impactful member of the agency’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and report directly to the CEO. Initially, you will help lead and support the junior team members and drive best practices in all aspects of deliverables, and as you grow in the role, it would scale to leading and managing other Account Managers and Account Directors.

IMPACT

Instead of trying to squeeze into the limited box of being a ‘cultural fit’, you have the opportunity to shape and influence the culture of the agency through your presence, participation and contribution. As someone in Senior Leadership, working with you should be an inspiring, positive, and growth-enhancing experience for the entire team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Your background needs to include a minimum of 5 years in account service roles, ideally with some agency experience, and show a trajectory of your personal and professional growth.

Your career path and previous experience will also demonstrate that you have the ability to scale the role so that eventually you are leading and managing a senior team of Account Managers and Account Directors.

KEY DETAILS

Location: NYC and/or LA. NYC-based candidates are preferred, but LA-based will also be considered. If you’re LA based, this might require occasional bi-coastal travel at times to meet with key clients. This role does require face-time with team members, clients, and stakeholders and as such candidates not based in either NYC or LA cannot be considered. It is also not a remote or at-large position.

Working: 3 days per week in the office (Tues-Thurs), with Mondays and Fridays WFH.

Salary range: $100-$120k per annum, commensurate with experience.

Benefits include:

  • Competitive salary with scope to grow
