Brad’s Deals is looking for a Summer Intern for our Data Science practice area. As a member of the Data Science team, you will gain invaluable experience using quantitative and empirical methods to make sound decisions. You will be given the opportunity to learn from and contribute to an engaged team in a dynamic environment. And you will help grow this practice area that is critical to the growth of our business.
Some of the things you will be working on:
- Training, validating, and deploying machine learning models
- Optimizing our products by helping to design and analyze experiments
- Mining historical data for insights, trends, and opportunities
- Building data science tools using engineering best practices
- Working with stakeholders to define problems and implement solutions
Who you are:
- You are passionate about using math and code to solve business problems
- You have strong quantitative and problem solving skills
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills
- You have experience writing and debugging code in Python or R
- You are familiar with Statistics or Machine Learning
- You can both work collaboratively and be self-directed
Preferred Qualifications:
- You have collected data and drawn inferences from it
- You have experience writing SQL queries
- You are comfortable running programs from the command line
- You have hands-on experience with e-commerce (for example, you’ve shopped online)
