Through access to continuous monitoring and predictive scoring, insurers gain deeper insight into risks in real-time which can significantly enhance many aspects of the insurance life cycle including underwriting, claims, and book assessment.All Carpe Data employees are currently working on a hybrid approach due to the COVID-19 pandemic with plans to continue to do so until around September 2021. This role will be recruited virtually and this position might start remote until our office reopens safely. Candidates must be located in Lisbon or willing to relocate to Lisbon once our office reopens.What you Will DoAs any test related and quality assurance role usually is, this role is focused on designing, structuring  and implementing tests based on our existing conventions and best practices as well as help drive the creation of new ones. This role is of utmost importance and responsibility as it guarantees the quality of our products and their implementation. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy exploring both data and code as well as devising plans and ways to test their content and functionality when multiple variables and pieces are involved.Our Tech Stack Back-End: Scala, Spark, AWS Lambda Hosting: AWS, Serverless, Terraform QA: Cucumber, Cypress, Jenkins CI, Sonarqube, SQL and NoSQLResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain integration and end-to-end tests for our productsProduce report and metrics to assure quality of improved or newly introduced features to our productsSupport Developers in the creation of Unit tests and their maintenance in our Scala projectsMonitor CI/CD and Code Quality metrics to improve test coverageCollaborate with teams in an agile environmentPromote good development practices in a team environmentOur Ideal CandidateExperience in Java/ScalaExperience writing Unit and Integration tests using Java/Scala test frameworksExperience analysing Code Quality reports generated by tools such as SonarqubeExperience with TDD implementationsOther good to have skillsGood knowledge of SQLExperience in market standard tools such as Selenium, Cucumber or CypressWhy Carpe Data?We are proud of our commitment to employee development–encouraging opportunities for growth across the organization.
