Winston Products LLC is currently seeking a sophisticated accounting and finance professional to join the team. Winston Products has a unique business model working with distributors and focusing on product innovation.

Position Description:

The Director of Accounting will be responsible for all accounting and finance activities at Winston Products. The Director of Accounting will oversee the day-to-day financial activity, including general ledger accounting, monthly/quarterly/annual close, and analysis of financial statements. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, with daily interactions with the Executive team. This role has the ability to grow with the success of the Company while providing strong guidance around policies and practices.

Responsibilities Include:

-Oversee the activities of the accounting department and ensure the accurate and timely closing of the financial records.
-Oversee the treasury management, financial controls, and compliance.
-Oversee the activities of the accounts payable department, ensuring policies and best practices are followed and timely.
-Oversee the accounts receivable department to ensure timely and accurate billing, cash application and cash collections.
-Supervise, train, mentor and evaluate accounting staff.
-Work cross functional to ensure processes are streamlined across the Company.
-Oversee the weekly bank reporting requirements.
-Backup to HR Functions
-ASU 842 – Lease Accounting
-Operational involvement and influence on business metrics
-Customer, vendor, and other third-party relationships including insurance, audit and banking.
-Risk management and internal controls.

Qualifications:

-Experience with distributor is preferred
-Hands-on experience is required
-Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, CPA preferred
-5+ years of professional experience with the responsibilities required
-Progressive experience leading day-to-day financial operations
-Experience working independently, setting goals and executing them toward a greater strategy.
-Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
-Strong written and oral communication skills
-Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
-Knowledge or experience with Microsoft ERP’s or ability to learn other ERP software systems
